Jennifer Cruz is a primary care physician specializing in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Jennifer uses a functional approach in working with her patients. She combines advanced laboratory testing with Traditional Chinese Medicine to treat not only the symptom but the root cause of any imbalance.
After completion of her masters in Oriental Medicine at the Atlantic Institute, Jennifer left for China where she interned in hospitals across the country for four months. She is now dual enrolled with Shanghai University and the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine for her clinical Doctrine and Research Ph.D.
Mrs. Cruz has a thirst for knowledge and with our health care constantly evolving and changing she is passionate about continuing her education and refining her skills. In 2014 she apprenticed with Whitfield Reeves in the advanced diagnosis, assessment, and treatment of Sports Injuries and Pain. 2015, Jennifer completed the advanced level training in Orthodox Tung Acupuncture, used for immediate relief of pain and in 2016 she became certified in disaster relief with Acupuncturist Without Borders.
Jennifer’s career started in 2007 after being dual-licensed by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and the State of Florida in massage therapy. Shortly after her licensing, she left for Thailand where she studied for a month and a half becoming licensed in three levels of Thai Massage and Reflexology. She was then taken under the apprenticeship of Tricia Baughman and in 2009 they combined their techniques and came up with a unique style of massage calling it TJ Advanced Massage Therapy.
