Biography
I found homeopathy in 1993 when a cat I had developed an ulcer on her lip. The standard therapy was steroids. I didn’t want to go that way because, that was the therapy given our cat when I was a teenager, and that cat was miserable the rest of her life. She ate, slept and literally just existed while on the steroids. We couldn’t hold her anymore, because she would scratch and bite us. I found a “Care for Your Pet Naturally” class at the local community college and was so excited after the first class because I knew I had found the answer to her problem and many of the questions I had about real healing. I joined a homeopathic study group, found a homeopath for myself and my health changed dramatically as well. By the way, my cat displayed signs of mercury toxicity, so I no longer feed any pets commercial pet food and they have thrived. I still use that homeopathic vet from time to time, but my pets are so healthy I have only called him once in the last 9 years.
A handful of years later I took the plunge, registered for acupuncture college and graduated valedictorian in 2002. I have never been so hungry for knowledge and I read everything I can get my hands on about health and natural healing. The journey has been life changing, literally. I was a letter carrier for the U S Postal Service, but now I have the best job in the world. Helping people feel better and have better quality of life gives me such satisfaction. Sometimes I am still amazed at the results I get even though I am so confident these medicines work. It is my goal to change the way America thinks about health and health care.
