Biography

Lisa began her adventure in learning Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2007 after having been treated with it herself for four years prior for back pain and Hashimoto’s disease. A lifetime of treatment under the biomedical model for these conditions as well as other issues, had only failed her. Eastern medicine had saved her! Her own story so inspiring for her, she had developed a yearning to learn the medicine to help heal others where they had since been failed, just as she had.

After graduating from the Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin (AOMA), Lisa left her profession as a Personal Trainer and began her own practice, reflecting her own style. She is passionate about and believes deeply in this medicine and what it can do. She provides exceptional care in a serene environment.

Lisa’s philosophy about medicine is the belief that Oriental Medicine and her practice of it, should be done with compassion, empathy, and genuineness for her patients. She believes in the integration of Eastern and Western medicine. She incorporates Oriental Medicine into the biomedical aspect of healthcare. Lisa believes this will bring a more balanced, holistic, and comprehensive approach to her patient’s overall well-being by working to improve and increase their personal quality of life and health.

She uses various therapies within the scope of Oriental Medicine. She implements such treatment modalities as, acupuncture, Chinese herbology, body work, cupping, moxa, gua sha, reiki, exercise, stretching, and nutritional advice as required within the course of the treatment.

Lisa is licensed in Texas and Florida, currently practicing in Austin, Texas. She’s also an NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) Diplomate in Oriental Medicine and a member of TAAOM (Texas Associate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine).

Lisa is passionate about what she does and enjoys developing treatments for the varying conditions of all different types of people and ages. She always loves a challenge when it comes to rare health conditions! She specialize in Men’s Health, Pain Management, Auto-immune Diseases and Stress Management.
