Biography
Hello, my name is James Manata and I am practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine. I began my training by studying massage and received a certificate in Shiatsu, a type of Japanese massage that is based on treating the patient just as an acupuncturist would-utilizing the 5 element system of Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, and Wood. I furthered my studies in the Asian tradition with the completion of the Master’s of Oriental Medicine program at Acupuncture and Massage College in Miami, Florida. This training included both acupuncture and herbology: studying the nature and actions of the individual herbs as well as the actions of the various formulas.
I’ve had an interest in holistic healing, diet and nutrition for over 20 years and look forward to bringing another level of healing to my patients.
