Amanda Plecha, L.Ac. M.Ac.

8850 Standford Blvd. Suite 1800
Columbia, MD 21045
Phone: 443-351-7172 extension 700

Biography

Amanda performed as a dancer for many years, where she acquired an experiential understanding of movement biomechanics. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Physical Therapy, she began an apprenticeship with Ted Annenberg, who has been practicing Japanese style acupuncture for over 35 years. She rapidly realized that she could combine her physiological knowledge with eastern medicine to create a transformative healing experience.

Her approach to treatment is informed by careful palpation of diagnostically significant zones on the body to determine the root cause of disease. She combines a gentle application of acupuncture, moxibustion, shiatsu and herbal medicine to relieve tension and inflammation in the organ systems. She addresses a wide range of health conditions, including musculoskeletal disorders, autoimmune conditions, diabetes, infertility, chronic fatigue and hormonal imbalances.

Amanda’s Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine Training: Amanda received her Master’s of Acupuncture degree from Maryland University of Integrative Health. Since the summer of 2012, she has been apprenticing with Ted Annenberg, learning his unique approach to treatment based in Japanese style Neo Classical acupuncture, moxibustion and Koho-ha School Japanese herbal medicine (Kampo).
